I use the small nose pillows. I have a small face and nose. I still alternate occasionally with the nose mask but tend to come back to the pillows. Chessie doesn't pay any attention to it other than it limits what parts of my face she can kiss! Mine has a 20-minute ramp-up so it doesn't register to me that it's happening. I was surprised by needing to use a CPAP as I'm not a snorer nor am I a mouth breather, but the data doesn't lie. It's about to go on its third and fourth trips this week.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi duck, I’m using the large nose pillows. They allow me to breathe better. No way could I use the full face or nose masks. After the mask wearing during Covid I can’t stand to have anything over my face. The nose pillows are the least intrusive. I have my ramp set to 5 minutes so the air gets flowing faster. My scores for the past four nights have been pretty good. We both ended up with head colds so didn’t use the machines for about two weeks. Can’t use them with plugged up noses??. Both Damon and I use the myAir app which lets you know usage hours, mask seal, apnea events per hour and how many times the mask is on/off. I deal with a slight amount of claustrophobia so the Apap has been a challenge for sure. I hope it’s going to get easier along the way. Hope you can figure out what works best for you in the mask or nose pillows. BTW, I use the large ones as the nostril holes are the largest. What does the pup think of it? Our cats haven’t had any problems with the hoses, etc. Have a good eveNing, Colleen |
