Hi duck,
I’m using the large nose pillows. They allow me to breathe better. No way could I use the full face or nose masks. After the mask wearing during Covid I can’t stand to have anything over my face. The nose pillows are the least intrusive. I have my ramp set to 5 minutes so the air gets flowing faster. My scores for the past four nights have been pretty good. We both ended up with head colds so didn’t use the machines for about two weeks. Can’t use them with plugged up noses??. Both Damon and I use the myAir app which lets you know usage hours, mask seal, apnea events per hour and how many times the mask is on/off. I deal with a slight amount of claustrophobia so the Apap has been a challenge for sure. I hope it’s going to get easier along the way. Hope you can figure out what works best for you in the mask or nose pillows. BTW, I use the large ones as the nostril holes are the largest. What does the pup think of it? Our cats haven’t had any problems with the hoses, etc. Have a good eveNing, Colleen |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The type mask you use makes a big difference with the CPAP. I just started using one in April. I've tried one that just goes over the nose and also the nose pillows. I can't decide which one I like better. Do they have your machine set so it ramps up over a period of time (like 20 minutes)? I think that helps. I hope by now you've got the bugs worked out. |
