This morning it's a beautiful 67. The sun is out and looks like we won't get any rain for about a week. The one thing I don't like about this time of year is that it starts getting dark around 6:00. That means when the time changes in Nov. it will be dark by 5:00. Not that Rebecca cares she likes the dark. She has always been a night owl.
Soot eats alone because he is so small. He still looks like a kitten. When we first started seeing him there was 4 of them and they were all very tiny. They would all eat on my front porch. On got hit by a car. Two of them found homes on the street and the new owners kept them inside. That just left Soot. Soot is very sweet and loving. Everyone who comes wants to pet him and he feels that they should pet him. I'd let him in the house but I'm very allergic to cats. Chocolate won't let anyone touch him. He looks like he could be Burmese, he is very stocky and has white tips on all his feet and blue eyes. At first I thought he was Siamese. But he is build more like the Burmese. I like wash as I cook that way I don't have as much to clean when I'm done eating. Now I'm wanting a big pot of ham and beans. When I get done here I'll go put some beans to soak. We all love beans. I'm surprised Rebecca hasn't turned into a bean. Beans are one of her favorite foods. She also loves dressing. She won't eat plain hamburger but loves meatloaf. She will eat fish and a ton of chicken nuggets. Have fun knitting. Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Your weather sounds nice, hope it continues to improve. We had clouds, temps were about 82 and lower humidity. Supposed to be in low 80’ high 70’s and night time temps in low 50’s. Google Rebecca can enjoy her trampoline most of the year. Animals generally can get along. Soot probably has had to fight for food so protects it since he/she doesn’t know when the next meal will come by. Glad Chocolate and the groundhog get along. Lol, I can understand not being able to make a small amount of soup. Same thing when we make beans and ham. Just not possible to make a small batch I usually clean up behind Damon when he cooks. He never learned to clean up as you go so if I don’t there’s going to be a mess to clean up after he’s done. I checked the tomato and it’s got two tomatoes and blossoms starting to bud some fruit. Don’t know how long it will last but we’ll keep the weather is too cold. I will plan on planting regular basil next year. Will be knitting tonight while watching TV. Didn’t get back into the shed but will dur the week. Have fun with your shadow boxes. Have a good week! Love, Colleen |
