The weather here as been very nice. 70's and lower 80's and lower humidity. Rebecca doesn't care about the temp. she is happy as long as it's not raining and she can go outside.
Yes I still have all the creatures in the backyard. We only have two cats now. Every now and then Target shows up but I haven't seen Goldberg in months. Those are the two cats that were here when Pepper was still here. Now we have Chocolate and Soot are the two cats that are here now. One stays in the backyard and the other in the front yard. Still have the groundhog too. They all eat in the backyard. It still looks strange to see a cat and the groundhog sharing the dish. Chocolate and the groundhog share. Soot doesn't want to share with anyone. But he is smaller than all of them. Patricia and I usually cook together. When we have spaghetti. Patricia cooks the pasta and I do the sauce. I usually cook to meats and she does the veggies. Right now I want chicken noodle soup but Patricia and Rebecca don't eat it and I have trouble making small amounts of it <G>. I may have to go ahead and make it and share it with Jackie, she loves it too. I didn't grow anything this year. Squirrels love to snitch tomatoes. That could be where your volunteer plant came from. A squirrels may have dropped a seed from last year. I am going to plant more basil next year. I missed the fresh basil from last year. Right now we are not getting rain but Monday we nearly washed away it rained so hard all day. But all the green in the trees is dulling down and my dogwood is starting to change. I love fall weather and colors. I've been making some shadowboxes with my Silhouette. They turned out nice. So keep crafting and stay well. Love Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hope you’re having better weather there with cooler temperatures. I’m sure Rebecca has enjoyed the cooler temperatures out on her trampoline. Do you still have the kitties and other critters that call your backyard home. Only thing we’ve had lately is a ground squirrel that came in took the biggest tomato off the plant and then dropped it towards the fence. This plant is the volunteer that my mother in law found behind the shed growing in the gravel, Damon planted it in the largest pot we have and it took off. Nice tomatoes but we have no clue as to where it came from since the other one was a cherry tomato. My basil is doing fine but I want to get a regular oneto use in Italian foods. Damon’s cooking dinner now and I’m enjoying it. Nice to have someone else do it. I think he’s going to try and make potato Lee soup next. Bought the potatoes and leeks today. We’re having some sprink and actual rain sporadically today. Temperatures have been dropping and it’s starting to feel like fall is around the corner. October is when we get the hot, dry Santa Ana winds so just hoping that doesn’t happen this October. Heading off to bed. Yawning like crazy! Have a good day tomorrow, love ya! Colleen |
