Weather here has been much nicer. Temps dropped about 10 degrees. But we are going up again this week. It's not been to bad.
Well Kate ended up with a new roof with a 30 warranty and a new room. They framed in her back patio area. Ryan is back home and is finishing the outside and putting up the dry sheeting and the walls and ceiling. It will be a large family room dining area. Her two cats already love it. Well Lexi is back in love with school. She can not go to kindergarten until next year. She missed the cut off date by about two weeks. She is just about to turn 5 in a few more days. She goes twice a week the the Churches preschool. Katie took both the girls to Nashville last week. She had to get Lexi's annual eye exam. The pressure in both eyes was okay. Until Lexi came along I did not know those red birth marks on the face could cause vision problems. You can only see Lexi's if she gets made because it's faded so much. Hers is in the middle of her forehead. My daughter Jessica had one over her eye and she is now legally blind in that eye. They think Eva is outgrowing her asthma they will check her again next spring. I don't know the name of the company Ryan works for but I know they call them storm chasers. He didn't end up going to Florida. So he's home working on the new room. I'll try and send to yarn out sometime next week. I have to find a box to put it all in. I'm trying to finish the Closet Caddy I'm making Lexi for the doll clothes. Eva never would play with dolls but Lexi can not have enough dolls. It's made from pvc pipe and I've got it all cut out and sanded and ready to paint. I've cut out all the fabric pieces and am ready to start sewing them as soon as I get done with the painting. Well if Damon is not going to have surgery until Christmas you have plenty of time to schedule it. I'm hope he is enjoying teaching. I am so happy to have my internet back. At least we had to dvd player so we could watch tv. All my Alexa's were down without the internet. Well the laundry is calling so I'm off. Stay well Love you Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hope you have gotten some relief from the heat but I’m sure it was very humid with the rain. We might have rain over the mountains and deserts but a slight chance over the countywide. At least th temperature has come down to 70s and 80s. Suppose to stay that way throughout the whole holiday weekend. Sorry to hear Katie’s roof had to be replaced.. Never good to have leaks but she won’t have to worry about that for quite awhile now. Good to hear her allergies are doing better too. I’m curious as to what kind of company Ryan works for that does repairs every where. Hard work and never know what you will find when you get there. Hoping he stays safe and healthy. lol, Lexi is the playtime queen. She’ll be happy to do her dance class again. Is she in kindergarten? Happy to hear your colon check was fine. Our Apaps are being used every night now without too much trouble. Hope duck is doing ok with hers. No surgery yet for Damo. Trying to get it during Christmas break at the academy. His first class went pretty well. Only one boy needed a different guitar with a smaller neck. Damon’s getting that set up for him. That’s good news about your internet. We do rely on it, don’t we? Good you can order your groceries now?? Hope nothing went wrong on your end. Just let me know when the yarn goes into the mail so I can be on the lookout for it. We’ve not had porch pirates but you never know. Have a good weekend and hope you get some cooler weather. You stay safe as well. Love you too. Colleen |
