The Constitution says “all persons.” Try reading it.
or are you suggesting a person here illegally is not a person. Clarity? Try SCOTUS rather than “some lawyer out there.” I do know that non-citizens can NOT be drafted for military service because they are NOT registered for the draft. Even more misinformation. Every male in the country of a certain age, illegal or not, is required to register for the draft. Not doing so is a felony. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, I'm not saying you're wrong but does it say anywhere in the Constitution that it applies to non-citizens as well as citizens? Is there a lawyer out there that can provide some clarity to this issue? If it doesn't mention non-citizens what would be the basis of extending it's rights and duties to them? I do know that non-citizens can NOT be drafted for military service because they are NOT registered for the draft. |
