No the trees never hit the ground they are wedged in the tops of other trees. When and if they hit the ground they won't reach my house. We haven't lost the power anymore but my internet has been going in and out. I think we are going to be in for a windy spring.
Sorry to hear about your rapid heart beat. I take 3 BP meds and one of them is to slow down my heart rate. It hasn't bothered me in year. But it makes you feel nervous when it races like that. Sorry you had to be at the ER that long. Let me know how your consultation with the Cardiologist goes. I have to go pay my property taxes Monday. That's always fun. Corned beef sounds very good. Enjoy. Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oh my word! That had to be absolutely terrifying watching those trees fall and hope they didn’t hit your house. Wow 94 hours…. I’m sorry you lost all your food. That’s an expensive replacement you don’t need right now. Too bad you don’t have a generator to at least keep the freezer and a refrigerator running. Good to hear the power and your internet finally came back on. Sure hope this doesn’t happen again to you anytime soon. Went for my diabetes checkup on Monday and ended up in the ER. My doctor took my comment of having heart palpitation, had me do an EKG, said I have atrial fibrillation and I should get to the ER right away. Drove myself home, got Damon to drive me over to Kaiser Permanente‘s hospital and we were there for 6 hours. They did another EKG, said it looked like it was controlled but I would need to take a different BP medication that will keep my heart from racing (which could cause a stroke) and a blood thinner. Had an echocardiogram today. Got there way early so I sat out in the car and knitted. Wasn’t much to the scan, very easy and the technician has been doing them for 30 years so he was quick and efficient. Next week I go for the consultation with the cardiologist. It was interesting watching his scanning my heart. Got our taxes filed aft I got home. Getting a nice refund. Next year will be different since Damon will have worked the whole year, with my salary and SS. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Just glad it’s done. Hope you got your groceries and still have power. Got corned beef in the pressure cooker for dinner tonight. When the 40 minutes are up I release the pressure and add the cabbage and red potatoes and cook for another 12 minutes. Will be a good dinner. |
