We had no lobster in Presque Isle, Maine. None. Nada. Landlocked and surrounded by potato farms. And even the good potatoes were shipped downstate. The least they could have done was barter for some lobster.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When I think of Maine I think Bush and FLIES!  Had a great time on Rockland Beach; Lobster and ear of corn... $1.00 (1962)  Temp at night on July 4th... 40.
