The little small cottage I had there was supplied by the government. 169 Dickman Drive. Gone now as is all the Wherry Housing that housed families. It was nicknamed "weary housing" although it was comfortable enough for a newly assigned Lieutenant and his newly married bride...and eventually two newly arrived babies. Mixed memories of a godforsaken part of the US.
Just checked the weather in Presque Isle. A balmy 23 going to -3 tonight. Spring !! |
