Garland got no respect from the side of the isle that's against gun control and/or very intrusive gun registries. That, alone, would have gotten him '0' Republican votes. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You likely know that the Dems in 2016 were all arguing just the opposite ways from the ways they're arguing in 2020. I'd not clutter these pages with all those quotes. February 2016 vs September 2020? Does that mean anything? Plus Garland was a moderate with respect on both sides of the aisle. Trump is hand picking an extreme conservative that will be loyal to him should Biden win and he wants to contest the election through the SCOTUS. Loyally is a big thing with Trump...he doesn't want anyone to tell him when he is wrong...even if he is. |
