For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Kent State, National Guard called in to settle down rioting students over Vietnam War. The kids backed the Guards up against a fence on a small rise and were pelting them with rocks, bricks and bottles. All of a sudden one of the Guardsmen fired his M-1 and then the rest of them cut loose. There were 2 or 3 students killed and several wounded. A professor at the school made the comment during a TV interview that they should take one thing away from the tragedy....."Don't throw rocks at a man with a gun" |
