Sadly Tom the only way the liberal left learns is when it comes up and bites them right in the butt. People will have to die in EV’s and in the cold. Liberals will have to be robbed or have a family member killed or raped or molested before they grow cold on green energy and crime. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mark (& ALL) Here's another topic generally hushed up or with minimal coverage. After so many stories alleging hottest temps this summer (they were NOT) the sad fact is that cold temps are far more dangerous. The cold snaps wind up killing far more populations than the heat waves. The medical organization Lancet has found that deaths from cold temps are 20 times greater than for warm temps, for 13 major countries in all climate zones. Here’s their chart showing those results. Image Title: Cold temps: far most dangerous ![]() Although fossil fuels have proven the most reliable in coping with winter’s coldest weather, the political pressures have been heavy pushing towards retiring coal and other fossil power plants. Here’s a report raising those issues – its titled: Winter is coming and the U.S. grid remains vulnerable to power plant failures Click Here Folks may recall the Texas electric grid problems in the cold 2021 winter that killed over 200 people. Wind turbines and solar panels froze up in Texas and there were also natural gas delivery problems. Other cold weather problems occurred at:
Some states which have maintained their largest power needs by fossil power plants include:
And there are 10 more states, with at least 88% fossil power Seems obvious that the wind and solar are the most frequent power sources to fail. Since cold months have fewer daylight hours, and those winter clouds are very prevalent, solar power disappears quite often. And those wind turbines produce power only about one-third of the time (or less.) This is because the wind must blow steadily at 10 mph or more, and gusts are insufficient drivers to produce power. Yet it seems there’s hopefully some broadening realization that goals for maximizing wind and solar are contributing to power shortages, producing rotating brown outs, forcing black outs, and even deaths (like in Texas.) Here’s a report summarizing this issue—Its titled: New study zaps Biden’s plan to transform the electrical grid Click Here And here’s a quote: “Americans could face catastrophe if the Biden administration continues phasing out existing fossil fuel plants and replacing them with intermittent renewable sources of “green” energy. While this may earn the administration some brownie points from radical environmentalists, it will probably not play so well with the American public when their light switches fail to click on." Indeed, the hazard of deadly cold temps would be a catastrophic failure. |
