For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Continuing the news about public objections to offshore windmills, a rally was recently held in Cape May, NJ. Among the speakers were: NJ Congressman Jeff Van Drew, state Senator Michael Testa, Lund Fisheries president Wayne Reichle, Bonnie Brady of the Long Island Commercial Fisherman Association, conservation biologist Trisha DeVoe, etc. Among the problems brought up are the endangered Right Whales, with only about 350 still living. Also that the sonar sound waves are detrimental to dolphins and porpoises as well as whales. Another point mentioned is how the intermittent power of wind turbines destabilizes our power grid. Seems good to hear there's folks still concerned about saving the whales. Here's another video, 7 min |
