PS We knew that area well. Family had wood boats, cabin cruisers, at docks in the Middle River area. Several spring times we had work done at a marina near the mouth of Seneca Creek. Then later we lived in Joppatowne, and had a fibreglass runabout. Sometimes when the bay waters were choppy coming out of the mouth of the Gunpowder River, we would go into Seneca Creek for a sight seeing side trip. Also, a Joppatowne friend had a sister who lived on the Seneca, and we went to an occasional party there. Memories. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Purely anecdotal, but as a child I lived on Seneca Creek off the upper Chesapeake. Ice skating snd ice fishing every winter. always news of icebreakers in the upper bay. No substantial ice for decades. |
