While many people deride "Facebook" and say its a little silly and waste of time, there can be some useful information exchanged there.

My postings about cancelling Russian college courses and blocking publications from Russian institutions had their source on Facebook. I have a fb friend who is a student at Oxford and he posts things of that nature all the time.

The Reason magazine posting comes from another facebook friend. This time the person is - like myself - a fan of "The Great Courses" aka "The teaching company" courses.

I might add that a very good college friend I know is also on facebook - his home is in Singapore, while his two daughters are living in Germany and attending college there. So, its unlikely I would hear from him at all, in absence of "facebook" 

Anyway, once again I'm glad you enjoyed the Reason mag piece.
