I'd suggest that Trump can't concede, if he has any hope of cleaning up the U.S. election processes.
Gore conceded to Bush and it sure did not prohibit him from later going to court. Can some instances of irregularities be found? I would presume so, as would typically be the case in any election. Will those impact the election results? Extremely doubtful. Trump should concede. Any fraud or other issues can still be addressed by the states or the Attorney General as crimes. And finally, if you really think that Trump (or anyone) can clean up all "U.S. election processes," then you are living in a dream world. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As you know there's a number of issues yet to be aired in the upcoming lawsuits. Many details continuing to emerge, daily. If Trump were to concede, this would definitely be used against him by opposing attorneys. Would produce the argument that all those lawsuits had become moot, and thus should be dismissed without any proceedings, no hearings at all. I'd suggest that Trump can't concede, if he has any hope of cleaning up the U.S. election processes. |
