For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: They haven't voted yet. Committee hearing coming next, before the full Senate voting. But historic precedents are there. There's two categories of historic examples. When the president's party also controls the Senate, the precedents are to move ahead with nominations and have the Senate voting to confirm. When the president's party does not control the Senate, the precedents are to delay. You'll see links to those analyses, those articles, within this thread. |
