Jim Seems this one's moving along, getting close to a done deal, but only for this phase (the question of Senate voting). Mitt has jumped on board, and Murkowski may be next.
Seems pretty sure outlook that the next political verbal battles over the Ginsburg issue will be in front of the Senate committee. The digging for any dirty laundry in backgrounds of those potential nominees is likely in full swing behind the scenes. However, could be a risk of overplaying the Dems hand -- backlash from (verbally) attacking a woman nominee. Tom |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: OK, I get it. So when McConnell said it Feb 2016 that “The American people must have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president,“ he meant Republicans, not all American people. And, when Graham said this in 2018: "I'll tell you this – this may make you feel better, but I really don't care – if an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term, and the primary process has started, we'll wait until the next election," he meant what? |
