But consider that passive symbolism and peaceful ways of the players voicing their views are surely better than behaviors like marching in the streets.  So I'm hopeful that football is not going to take this to any higher levels.  Such street marching so very easily crosses over into worse behaviors.  

And so long as their political activities are not occurring on the field of play, that's another thing i hope continues.
