All kinds of slants on this, now centered on verbiage or semantics. But never any intention to diminish our great respect for the servicemen of those times.
I'm thinking that most folks who take a look at all those conflicts on the Wiki list would admit there's plenty of reasons to doubt the terminology of "cold" within that title -- cold war. Click Here |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Cold War was misnamed To the extent the US and USSR took their bilateral paranoia to the conference table, and avoided lobbing warheads at each other over the North Pole and Canada, I'll side with the historian-types and agree that 'Cold War' is a damn good moniker. |
