Spokespersons for South Carolina, Mississippi and Texas have told News-Nation they are ready to assist in President Donald Trump’s expanding immigration enforcement plans. Two Kern prison facilities could benefit from Big Beautiful Bill under historic funding for ICE Click Here Those two Kern County facilities are: California City Correctional Center, (deactivated in 2024), and the McFarland Female Community Reentry Facility, (which closed in 2020.) Six Colorado sites considered for potential ICE Detention expansion Click Here Those six Colorado facilities are all privately owned correction facilities and none are currently in operation. Border czar Tom Homan said there are about 60,000 beds currently available for detained immigrants, and the goal is to expand to 100,000. Homan added: "Before we deport them, they need a bed. Because it takes several days, several weeks, several months actually to move them. The faster we get the beds, the more people we can take off the street." |
