The protests last week in LA and the NO KING protests nationwide were mostly peaceful.
WRONG Take off any blinders and see what's happening on (consevrative) TV < Rioters bringing bricks, rocks and concrete blocks to throw at police & their vehicles < When those projectiles run out, hammering concrete chucks off of curbs & pavements to throw < Throwing metal objects from overpasses to damage vehicles below. < Such objects include metal traffic signs and their poles. Also street lamp support fixtures were torn apart and thrown. < Using skate boards to smash windows on buildings < Bringing molotov cocktails and other flammables like professional fireworks to start and to feed fires < Moving dumpsters onto roads, setting them on fire < Burning vehicles and encouraging crowds to gather to watch the blazes. < Cops chasing and tackling looters as they ran from buildings I'd hate to see what would have occurred if sufficient personnel, marines, National Guard, & police, were ABSENT. And the ICE officials made more than 300 arrests of illegals, many with significant criminal convictions. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The protests last week in LA and the NO KING protests nationwide were mostly peaceful. In the spirit of civil nonviolence, many protesters were voluntarily arrested. I do not condone the destruction of property or throwing objects at law enforcement. I think the LA police and Highway Patrol did a good job of containing the situation (to a tiny percentage of LA area) while showing constraint. |
