At a time in US history the unions were needed. Now they are the reason nothing is built in the US. Their wages, benefits etc killed our industry. Most jobs are shipped out of country due to labor unions. . . . But the left never has understood basic business principles.
A BIG YES. 40% cost of living is excessive demand by the auto union. I'd suggest 18% to 20%. And those wages should be hourly based. So if they're working only 4 days per week, and their hours decline, then their pay reflects time served on the job. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: At a time in US history the unions were needed. Now they are the reason nothing is built in the US. Their wages, benefits etc killed our industry. Most jobs are shipped out of country due to labor unions. You can’t pay a man to sweep the floors of a industrial plant at $ 50.00 per hour plus benefits. Just like you can’t pay a fast food worker $20.00 per hour as California just put into law. Kills the economy. But the left never has understood basic business principles. |
