Absolutely.  To keep from going nuts I tell myself that the craziness is over-reported, and not mainstream--but that the media, liberal and conservative, likes to report on the worst of the worst.  I'm not saying there aren't a lot of nuts and a lot of problems out there, but just that it isn't universal.  Tom is right, there is always hope.
