I know the expression “clothes make the man” but i don’t have much use for it, apart from what you would tell an 18 year old going out for his first job interview. When a man gets more mature then his reputation and skills mean a hell of a lot more than dress style.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yeah that comment fits into the same category as the classic Chris Matthews “I get a thrill up my leg from Obama” What the hell was Brooks thiniking to say “when I saw the crease in his pants I knew he’d be a good president“ ? I know the expression “clothes make the man” but i don’t have much use for it, apart from what you would tell an 18 year old going out for his first job interview. When a man gets more mature then his reputation and skills mean a hell of a lot more than dress style. Brooks was once far more sensible once upon a time but then he started to get really really weird as he aged. I wonder whether he suddenly started to dress better? |
