Typical uncaring lefties. Full steam ahead for wind turbines, to hell with nature’s creatures.
Among the concerns by Shellenberger and a number of environmentalists is the danger posed against the Right Whales. Right whales are one of the most critically endangered whales in the world. Their north Atlantic population is estimated as 340 individuals, including less than 80 breeding females. They are protected under the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act. But the Shellenberger analysis indicated a lax attitude by the Biden administration, failing to protect them against the hazards of offshore windmills. Stonewalling some of their own governmental expert's concerns for all those whale species being killed. Other species of marine mammals are also exposed to the windmill risks, such as dolphins, porpoises, seals, etc. The wind turbines operating in Europe have already been experiencing many such deaths. Those much loved sea creatures, whales, dolphins and porpoises deserve much better recognition and protections. |
