I agree with term limits but unless there's a way to term limit the agency bureaucrats (which will NEVER happen) the animals will be permanently in charge of the zoo. I can't trust politicians to be smart enough to seamlessly hand off investigations and downsizing plans to successors. Let's face it, the best and the brightest do not apply for government service much any more. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You do have some legitimate concerns, but I suggest that this is a problem with the way Congress operates. They don't have a system in place to truly investigate--not like a law enforcement agency investigates. It's unfortunate but it seems to be a long-standing system that we are stuck with. I also agree with your apparent distaste with politicians of all stripes--meaning both parties--seemingly over-concerned with getting face time on television rather than doing meaningful work, which after all is their mandate, all of them. None of them are truly above all of this, not Democrat, not Republican. If we had term limits for Congress our representatives would not be constantly in campaign mode, and perhaps more work of the people would get done, and we'd see less posturing for the camera. All this said, I do believe that the Republicans have brought out some problems with the Biden DOJ, IRS, etc., that perhaps the people of this country were not aware of, primarily because the majority of news organizations lean heavily to the left and avoid all criticism of this Democrat-run government and their appointees. |
