Tom,
For me, a 50s kid, the true Elvis Presley disappeared after his stint in the Army. His 'B' movies and Vegas shows did nothing for me. I dated a Pat Boone fan and married an Elvis fan (same girl) Back then you could not be both. The guys thought Elvis was 'cool' and the girls 'swooned' at Boone. |
