A two year degree is called an "Associate Degree", what you get from a Junior College,. A"BA" degree is a Bachelor of Arts, given by four year colleges and universities in certain majors, Philosophy and French 16th century art histories being two examples. A "BS" is a Bachelor of Science given for majors in engineering, math and the physical sciences as examples along with some business majors. I happen to have a BS in Accounting from a large, well known university, I also know some people that have BA's in business majors from different schools, might be the school or the number of credits you earn in the major, I'm not sure of why there's a difference? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: a "BA" is a two-year degree, like what you'd get from a community college. Many don't even consider a "BA" a degree at all, minimum being a "BS" degree from a university. Certainly a BA qualifies you for next to nothing, except maybe getting into a real 4 year program. |
