Sorry for your bumbling GM dealer. Guess I've had better luck. Pontiac/ Buick dealer in Salisbury has been very good for us. Even for our current Chevy. First State Chev in Del has sometimes been good but not consistent. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have been a G.N. fan for 50 years, untill I had a problem brought on by them. Long story short. Gm 10 tears ago had sent out a letter asking me to bring my car to a dealer that would change the ignition because of fire risk. So I did, what a mistake that was. Gh had mentioned problems that could happen if not corrected. Took car to dealer, waited for maybe 1 hour and was handed my keys back and told I was good to go. Went to my car, after having trouble unlocking the door I finally got in, put the key in the ignition, couldn't turn car on, I tried for maybe 15 minutes of wiggling key back and forth before I got It started. Turned car off went back in to talk with service mgr. that told me politely that the only thing they had done was change the key fob, the black part of the key. So, I then asked why the keys in my hand were not the same keys I brought in. Anyway, I'll wrap it up Cost me around 750. bucks to have ignition replaced, and keys made to unlock doors. I spoke with GM and told them my story, could care less, told me that I probably had ignition switch replaced at one time or another. That is my last GM car. Anyway, after my not so short story, I test drove the new Mitsubishi Outlander, a car I didn't like at all before because it was small for me. I'M 6 ft 6 300# had plenty of room. It's laid out very nice. Point I'm making if someone is looking for an SUV AWD for 30 grand 10 yr 100,000-mile warranty, they will be pleasantly surprised. See It was a long story like I said. |
