The larger group of truckers there were independent  truckers. California change the requirements basically pushing out the independents. Brought the problem on themselves.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tell me one thing the unions do for our country, that can't be done privately.  All these ships in harbors because they can't unload. No drivers. I bet they can find a lot of privately owned trucking Co's that can and will deliver.
