In this particular instance it’s because as a former Infantry Marine with three deployments under his belt, I’m not wild about other Marines joking about murdering criminals, in America, for money. Call me old fashioned, but I think it’s a bad look. As far as mean-spirited comments, I mean, have you read the politics forum? Have you read some of the things some of your fellow hyper-conservative buddies have written? It’s not exactly dripping with good faith positivity and happy vibes. You only seem to have a problem with “mean-spiritedness” when it’s utilized by someone who disagrees with you. When you start calling out the others here who use negative, aggressive, and “mean-spirited” rhetoric, then I’ll start taking your critiques of my responses seriously. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I might know Robert better than you do, Robert as he is a regular on our FirearmsForum, and I think he was joking a bit there. I note you felt the need to throw out another mean-spirited comment rather than simply offer a disagreement. This seems like your standard operating procedure. Why is that? |
