Listening to Biden the other day, as he attempted to outline his evacuation strategy, I thought I heard "Americans will not have priority."  I thought... Bob, you missed a word, or, you got the words mixed; no way he said that.

A while later, a TV talking head said he was shocked to hear Biden say Americans will not be a priority.  Then, Kirby comes on and tells the WH gaggle, (paraphrasing) Americans waiting to be evacuated should contact the State Department and they'll get on a list.  Far be it for me to give advice on such matters.  However, with a little more thought, Kirby should have come up with a better line of BS than "we're compiling a list of names."  Think about this:  Admiral Kirby... Admiral John Paul Jones... astonishing! 

I'm hopeful the administration is negotiating with the Taliban to safely transport Americans, and Afghans with SIVs, to the Hamid Karzai International Airport.

BTW, news coming in from Afghan's nether regions is very alarming... murders, rapes, beatings and so on. 

As I walked by and glimpsed at my TV, I caught the Taliban leaders sitting/standing around a desk, mugging for the camera.  What came immediately to mind?
