Not much to add there.

I am, however, concerned for the Foreign Service Corps working Black Ops with locals. I imagine there are dozens around the globe monitoring terrorism threats with the cooperation of locals. Locals that have been assured that America has their back; they and their family members will be protected.

It surprises me that no one, in the halcyon circles of State, Defense and Intelligence, tethered to the Afghan Blunder, has resigned. 'Death Before Dishonor' may make for a great tattoo, but hardly reflects a commitment shared by the Country's Movers and Shakers.

Nike is on the phone with the Taliban; "You guys won; you'll be media darlings soon; let's reimagine footwear, we'll be in touch."

J.P. Morgan-Chase, Goldman and the NBA are on hold.

Is there a spirit of Nero to be called

Examples of Biden's snafu's on the pullout include:

Biden did a night pull out from Bagram Air Base without telling Afghan commanders.
As a result looting occurred of the unguarded facilities. Equipment was stolen--went into the wrong hands
Biden made a politically foolish announcement about doing a 9/11 pullout. Then flip flopped
Biden jumped that 9/11 date to earlier, into July & August -- raising possibility of logistics snafu where inadequate prep steps became more likely. Bagram was early July.
We've heard no reports of those [assumed] 300,000 Afghan troops placing ramparts or defensive measures around Kabul. And Biden has been quoted as saying -- let them defend themselves.-
Nor of defending any other cities that have fallen. Without any reports of defenses
Reports we are hearing are saying there's rapes, pillaging and even executions in those fallen cities.
Geez some sharing of military planning and know-how recommending defensive actions by Afghan forces would have been far more advisable, than saying -- let the Afghanies defend themselves.

John Bolton has been on TV defending Trump's extensive planning he handed off to Biden but was rejected. [Bolton is far from a Trump admirer] Interesting !! Other sources are confirming this. Former CIA Analyst and US veteran Matt Zeller said they had sent Biden several plans providing safe withdrawal steps, and all those were ignored. Also Mike Pompeo on TV mentioned Trump's planned steps protecting the withdrawals were not followed by the Biden administration. One step Pompeo mentioned was the US telling Taliban there would be immediate, sever retaliatory answers, including heavy air strikes, if there were any incursions. Never were seen in Biden's playbook.

Sad developments. And now Biden has resumed his Camp David vacation. Isolated from media. Sends wrong message at home & abroad. Aloffness. Uncaring. Incapable of reacting. And China is sending warships to patrol offshore from Taiwan. Another international trouble spot developing.

Is there a spirit of Nero to be called -- bringing out his violin . . . . ?
