You realize most of these big cities which have these problems are governed by Democrat majors and city councils who don't want to clean up their cities. These days they are more interested in defunding their police rather than letting them do their jobs.
And even if the police are allowed to function properly, the court system is a mess in this country. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I rode with the captain of the D.C police dept in the late 60s into the 70s. Black kids out all night long. City is predominately black, there are white kids out also, but it's non stop all night long chasing drug dealers. Like I posted before the kids on the streets aren't interested in 9 to 5 jobs they can make more money selling drugs. It's a very big industry, the city's come alive after midnight. They start getting drugs off the streets, prosecuting people to the fullest, maybe it will help. Prostitution a very big business also, which leads to more drugs and crime. The sad part is the police no where most of the drug dealers are and gang members, if they truly desired to clean up the streets it could be done. |
