For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: While I don't agree with your premise of white advantage, which does not exist today, I thought I'd interject regarding your "kinda sorta" quote from George Santayana, which almost no one gets right, everyone takes out of context, and few attribute correctly. The quote is as follows: Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. It behooves us not use quotes if we misquote. |
