I do have some exactly those ages. And NO I would not approve of what you stated. If this is happening in the real world with 6-8 year olds, I would like to know where. I would definately boycott and protest against those schools or libraries.
My point was that libraries should offer access to diverse sources of information / literature / history, etc. If some people are offended by certain materials then they don't have to read it. Obviously everything is not approriate for all ages. It is important for parents to guide their children toward that which is age-appropiate. And librarians / educators should not be forcing inapproriate sexual material on 6-8 year olds. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Jim , don't know if you have grandkids but if you do and they would be 6 to 8 years old would you be ok with the school teaching them about how your granddaughter should properly have various and all types of sex??? |
