Name/address sharing is common for compiling donor lists.  For example contributions to Md Food Bank will bring you solicitations/mailings from similar groups.  Same for environmental groups.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where:  Other than give to my local (Montclair NJ) police PBA, I've never done anything to deserve these calls but I get them too from a MD "police association".
