HR-1 is known as the “For The People Act.,” and Dems have described the act as boosting transparency around campaign finance and expanding voting rights.
Both that name of the act and that description are very misleading. There were seven paragraphs in my response of just one of the many abuses written into HR-1. Among those abuses are its doubtful constitutionality. There's plenty of other problems written into that act, for all to see, or to write about. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So congress decides all 50 states must automatically register 16 year-olds. What's wrong with having all citizens registered to vote by default? How is that a power grab? I take it you have no response to the message you replied to: Is there anything wrong with boosting transparency around campaign finance and expanding voting rights. Should it be illegal to give water and snacks to voters waiting in a long line????? |
