Oh dear, that was an awful experience for him, very costly. I hope he got the corner of his house repaired. Hopefully his homeowners insurance covered it. So happy you didn’t have any house damage from trees. Yes, those breakers probably saved you a lot of damage from the power outage and surge when power came back on. You should see our breaker panel and all the wires running from it. The husband of the couple we bought the house from was an electrician and he had everything ru separate. His business was a solar business so that’s why we have so many panels. It’s nice for sure. We watched a Joe Bonamassa concert on YouTube last night. He’s a fantastic guitarist and singer. We watch concerts fairly often when nothing else is on the tv. Damon’s making our decaf iced coffees so I’m going to get into my housecoat and slippers and get comfortable knitting. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The man that works on my heating and cooling system lives a few streets over from me. During the big storm he lost a very old tree. It feel on the corner of his house. The tree was 4ft around. It cost him $20,000 to have it removed. It uprooted the tree. The electrician said it was a good thing I had changed from a screw in fuse system to a breaker system or I would have had a lot more problems. We ended up watching craft videos instead of a movie. Several people we like to watch had new videos out last night. So we will watch the movie tonight. The Mummy. Got a lot of junk piled up to be hauled off Monday. I can't wait to get rid of it.
