Welcome to the perils of Kyra <G>. It's been an interesting few weeks. Finally got an electrician on Monday to see if we were getting power to our heating a cooling system. Yes we were but when they got us back on line after that big storm it sent such a surge of power though the lines it hit the serge protector in my electric system and now is will have to be replace. So $50 for the service call and when the part comes in next week another $400. So then I called the air-condition repair since the first man said we were getting power to the units. He came Wed. and said a transformer in the panel for the heating and cooling system. The part was $92 and while he was here he cleaned my coil and checked everything out. He only charged me $150 for it all which is not bad.
Yesterday it was 89 and today back into the low 60's. And it's been raining all day. Which is good because to had a no burning alert out. On the 4 of this month I had to get a new battery. Katies brother Matthew came and pulled the battery and took me to O'Reilly's to get a new battery. Then on the 8th the car would not start. Katies husband came and pulled the battery and took it O'Reilly's and they gave me a new battery. Everything here is green. If the trees had this green when that storm hit us we would have had even more damage. Glad to hear you are enjoying you new washer. I just wish I could find the sock monster that eats the socks <G>. I'm sure it's an invisible sock eating dragon. We would not want him to starve so he can continue to eat the socks. Sorry to hear your ring needs adjusting. I haven't worn rings since Hayden passed. My rings would fit fine when my hands were warm but when they were cooling I could move my hands just right and the rings would fly right off. So I stopped wearing them. Well it's time for Patricia and I to watch a movie. Didn't get to last night because Lexi had a sleep over. So we watched a man sculpt a dragon from clay. Glad to hear the new person is working in well. It's hard starting a new job. Love you too Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi there, hope all is going good there. Hope the weather is starting to improve. We’re having a warming trend here with the high temperature of 80 on Friday and Saturday then cooling down again. It’s been nice to have some sunshine and warmer mornings. Boy do I need to trim my lantanas. They were frosted and really look awful. They’re still alive underneath the frozen leaves but I think I’ll have to trim each branch back to wh the green growth starts. The Russian sage is coming in nicely, lots of green growth. The euryops daisies need to be trimmed back as they are going to squeeze out the Russian sage if I don’t trim them back a little. So nice to see things coming back for this year. New washer is great. I like that I can wash my small bath mats in it and don’t need to worry they are too much for the washer. We got new tires put on my car Saturday and this Saturday we’re having the wheel alignment done. Just hoping there’s no problems. Took my wedding ring in for its inspection and all eight prongs on the two big stones need to be rebuilt so the ring is at the jewlers right now. Other than that, not much going on. The new person is fitting in and seems to be catching on with the work. She’s pleasant and easy to work with. Time for our evening cup of decaf coffee and a couple of cookies f dessert while watching tv. Do hope you a doing good. Love you ?? |
