Our temps are now in the 60's and Sunday we are suppose to get up to 70. That beats -8. In fact we will be above freezing at night for the next 15 days. But this to will change. I did order a snow shovel for Patricia. It's a snow shovel with wheels. A friend of ours has one and they clear a double wide driveway in about 4 passes with no lifting. The shovel she uses now is only as wide as our tire. She has also been know to shovel the driveways of some of our neighbors. She has a very big heart.
I gather Damon's turkey came out okay. I don't remember what we had Christmas day to eat. Patricia isn't into turkey. I think we had chicken fried rice. Anyway it was good. Love Kyra |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Happy to hear you had a warm and quiet Christmas. Sure good to hear you had power too. Bet it was nice to be able to use your appliances again. Have been reading how bad it i. Very scary to think people are not able to heat their homes, etc. Just thankful you all are safe and warm. We had a hectic but good Christmas. Weather was warm (82) but didn’t really seem that warm. It was hectic since Damon was smoking the turkey. He gets really antsy and worries things won’t be done on time. His mom spent the night so she didn’t have to drive down to our house on Christmas..Damon’s cousin, wife and one son came in the afternoon and we had a good dinner then spent time opening gifts. We only get together at Christmas so it was nice to see them. Time to head to bed. love you and hope you have a safe New Year’s Eve. Colleen |
