The success story of South Korea VS the failure of North Korea serves as a model for the world. Capitalism thriving and Communism floundering. People of South Korea productive, profitable & well cared for. North Korea in many ways the opposite.
Citizens take heed. Seems important to turn away from the tyrannies of communism -- at the center of those cold wars, as a philosophy of governance Seems that globally there's been plenty of conflicts along those lines which historians can point out, no matter what name they give it. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm just a guy reading versions of history. If you you wish to exclude those Asian conflicts from The Cold War its OK with me. Tom, I have no quarrel with what you are saying. My issue is with a reporter (I'm guessing, under the age of 55) who WASN'T THERE in the 50's when the term 'Cold War' applied directly to the two nations I referenced. Bob |
