Very real possibility. Likely he would get legal opinions based on the Posse Comitatus Act or the Insurrection Act. Presidents who used the Insurrection act included Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and George H W . . . . in modern times. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If this were not an election year, I believe Trump would have ordered the National Guard to go to these riot-torn hell-holes with orders to shot anyone caught lobbing Molotov Cocktails. To me, that's attempted murder. If we don't have to wait 'til May, 2021 to find out who our President is, maybe he can end all this by mid-December. Then, again, even if he loses on election night, he just might give the orders to 'end by all means' starting November4th. |
