Hello Glenn,
Really nice to see you here. Regarding the attitude of news channels - cutting away to personal commentary - applying phony 'fact checkers' and on and on. Most of the news outlets are filled with lefties, but shamelessly prepared to manipulate the news for their own ends. Trump is so much "outside the PC culture" that the news people cannot help but object to his every syllable, and they hate to allow him any more than one or two sentences unbroken without getting their own silly talking heads into the way of the cameras. One wonders whether all this naked revulsion shown by CNN and MSNBC will hurt Trump or help him, in the end. On the one hand, constant complaints about Trump by these guys would seem capable of harming him - CNN is carried in airports, bars, public spaces across the country. On the other hand, the complaints might appear to reveal more about the complainers than the complainees - I.e., people in the public might see how "wildly biased" those reporters are, and realize that they better tune elsewhere for realistic coverage. Again, good to see you, Glenn. Doug |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks for the updates on that. i get the next day news as I’m an early to bed early riser. But I have seen the young Republican going for Elijah Cummings seat. Her ad is outstanding and has gained national attention. I watched the Cuban immigrants speech- I thought he made quite an impact. I also watched the roll call of the states electing Trump- just that was better than the entire Dem convention as a whole! If anything- the ‘live people’ sure do make a difference as far as I’m concerned and obviously the networks are not liking it one bit with their cutting back of significant parts of the convention? What do they have to say for themselves? Do you know? ![]() |
