For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe suggested you reply to ‘all’ to help get things going on this forum. I cannot find any 'reply to all' option? Maybe I am missing something obvious? I guess I am going to continue to be "part of the problem" since I don't understand how to do that.... Anyway, as to your comments. Shaming Melania has been a favorite sport for years now. She's a kind of 'weak link' in the argument that no woman can tolerate the "great evil that is Donald." Since she's a counterexample to that claim, they try to minimize her judgement all the time. It just "irks" them that she's there and they would rather Trump were a bachelor playboy. And as to young master Sandmann. He is "too easy a target" for the media to resist. He's male, and is part of a majority group and he hasn't yet made a name for himself in his career, and so they feel "safe" in attacking him with impunity. Yes! It is a cheap thing to do, but who ever said the media had any class? For years now the media has been doing whatever they can get away with and attacking Sandmann is just one more item on this list. Yes! Media is propaganda for sure and it is a doggone shame to see it. One of the worst things is that after all the screaming about how horrible Trump is, they never seemed to "catch their breath" and tell us the things accomplished, i.e., reporting on the jobs numbers in all demographics, reporting on the destruction of ISIS, reporting on overall improvement of US economy and some other things. News is reported by human beings and human beings have personal points of view, but all this manipulation and propaganda was not taking place in the news 30 or 40 years ago, I don't think... Doug |
