I have no problem with enforcing the immigration laws. I have a problem with rounding up people off the street at schools, graduations, Home Depots etc. with no due diligence.
I think you mean due process. Seems like you think those arrested for being here illegally are all being shipped to a foreign prison with no due process. What I see are people waving Mexican flags. Burning cars; attacking police; all to prevent the government from deporting illegal aliens. It is about time the government finally does so. This country voted for a president who promised to do so. Change should come at the ballot box, not riots supporting illegal aliens. I support due process and removal of illegal aliens to their home country. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: How am I rationalizing anything? It is up to the Governor to call in the NG (much less the Marines.) I am (as I stated before) 100% against the violence and destruction of property that unfortunately accompany the protests. For the most part, the protesters have exhibited nonviolent disobedience. Today, some have been voluntarily arrested. I do not support those who have thrown rocks at law enforcement and other such acts. I understand that some of them feel that is the only way to be heard. The certainly won't be listened to by Trump. I have no problem with enforcing the immigration laws. I have a problem with rounding up people off the street at schools, graduations, Home Depots etc. with no due diligence. Those people deserve a right to prove they are here legally. Now, there is a quota of 3000 deportations per day. So ICE officers are under pressure to meet quotas. i do not approve of herding people into a cargo plane and flying them to a slave, torture prison in El Salvador. |
