Kerry (& all)
On Friday the Senate could go into a 48 to 50 hour session, within negotiations for the Big Beautiful Bill. And they could have a series of votes while considering a variety of amendments to the Bill. Here's a report describing a possible "vote-a-rama" going into the wee hours of Saturday. Quote: "A 'vote-a-rama' is really just a very Senate way of saying "long vote series which probably runs all night." When the bill is passed, likely including amendments, it goes back to the House for a confirming vote. Probably would occur during next week. And since its a budget reconciliation bill, there's no possibility of a Senate filibuster. Quite an interesting step by step process to be navigated by the Repubs. |
