To me the differences between FOX and Newsmax are mainly cosmetic and not that deep. Chris Salcsedo and Sean Spicer on Newsmax could be replaced by Sean Hannity on FOX and I could not discern much change.
As for Newsmax bashing FOX they might be justified since FOX is slightly more under the thumb of corporate sponsors and hence they fall prey to the “nothing untoward happened in the 2020 elections and January 6 was as terrible as Nancy said it was” It’s true that Tucker went against that trend but shortly after he did get fired as you know. But generally you are right that whether FOX does show those slight tendencies or not certainly Newsmax should not be bashing a member of the team. It’s rather like Congressman Matt Gaetz scoring points for the other team by kicking out McCarthey. Then pundits like Harold Ford can say “Biden may not be perfect but when people see the confusion and disorder on the right as they stab their own speaker in the back, it will be clear that Biden‘s stability is preferable“ Of course Fords statement was crazy but the chaos in the House of Representatives does erode public confidence… Doug |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You forgot ABC, NBC, and CBS. ![]() News Nation claims to be an unbiased network, though I don't believe any such thing truly exists. They have a mix of journalists as far as backgrounds go. Some left (eg., Chris Cuomo), some right. The debate itself will be hosted by, among others, former Fox personality Megyn Kelly. News Nation is available on some cable services as well as streaming services. As far as I'm concerned, if there is any chance of at least fair reporting, I'm all for another network. We could use more conservative news. I think Fox is pretty good. I want to like Newsmax--I tend to agree with their points of view, but they are in no way unbiased. They are extremely right wing and they shove their viewpoint down your throat. What really ticks me off is how they are constantly beating up on Fox. Don't they understand that Newsmax and Fox are the only conservative news sources out there, and need to stick together, or at least not beat each other up? You don't see all the left wing news networks picking on each other, because if they know nothing else, they know how stupid that would be. |
