For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Again California is pushing the nation, this time for Electric versions of medium and heavy duty “big-rig” trucks being forced on the public by mandates. And don’t be surprised there’s quite a few drawbacks to those medium & heavy Elec versions. There’s already 19 states, supporting the opposition lawsuit, filed in federal court. Some of those elec truck drawbacks are:
Some predicted side effects will adversely impact the public. The jump in truck costs will put small truckers out of business. Freight delivery times will increase because of long charging times. Smaller loads will require 20 to 50 percent more trucks to move the same amount of freight. Click Here Click Here Click Here In opposition to these California Electric truck mandates, 19 states are supporting the lawsuit which is being led by Iowa’s Attorney General. The Iowa AG commented: “The EPA and California have no right or legal justification to force truckers to follow their radical climate agenda. America would grind to a halt without truckers who deliver our food, clothes and other necessities. But rather than support our hard-working truckers, Biden continues to empty their wallets and force them to drive electric trucks for his radical climate change agenda. Iowa isn’t going to take a backseat as the EPA and California try to regulate truckers out of business. We’re pushing back.” States supporting the Iowa opposition lawsuit include southern states stretching from Texas & Oklahoma across to Alabama, central states like Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana & Missouri, also mid-western states like Nebraska & Montana, etc. States supporting the California plans include NY, NJ, Conn. & Mass. Can you guess which side Maryland is supporting on this heavy-rig electric truck issue? |
